As we approach the end of the year and look forward to a few well-deserved days of rest, I want to take a moment to thank each of you for your hard work, commitment, and the many contributions you’ve made to our department and its diverse activities. Your efforts truly make a difference and contribute to making our department perform on a very high level on almost every important parameter.
Looking ahead to 2026, we face both significant challenges and exciting opportunities. As mentioned in the November newsletter, student numbers remain a concern, and this could have a considerable impact on our finances. At the same time, we see promising possibilities for new strategic initiatives, supported by increased internal and external funding. Navigating this landscape and securing the department’s long-term financial stability will be a key focus for me and the management team in the coming year.
I am confident that, together, we can meet these challenges and seize the opportunities by making the necessary adjustments and continuing to work collaboratively. For now, please allow me to wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
The results are in! Thank you to everyone who took the time to participate in our bi-annual staff well-being survey. Your engagement has been truly impressive—we achieved an outstanding response rate of 87%! Your input is invaluable and will help guide the management team in shaping initiatives that strengthen well-being across the department in the years ahead. While we await the final report, which will be shared on February 10, 2026, we hope you enjoy a little treat from the bakery as a token of appreciation for your contribution.
Once again, thank you for making your voice heard. Together, we can continue to create a workplace where everyone thrives.
