Bioprocess technology encompasses a wide range of disciplines, each of which contributes to the study, development and exploitation of biological processes for applied purposes and products. We work with enzymes as well as bacteria, fungi and algae, and even insects and other invertebrates. We strive to link practice to theory, develop and use models to increase our understanding of the invisible, and education and teaching are key activities. We collaborate with students, other researchers, and people from the business community.

Our technology platform includes solid state cultivation, bioreactors and state-of-the-art analyses methods and equipment for monitoring bioprocesses.
