Industrial applications of membranes requires appropriate control and monitoring of the process for optimization, reduced energy consumptions, optimized cleaning cycles, fouling reduction, replacement of spare-parts, prolonged life-time of the process, etc. We develop models to control and monitor the membrane process, but the research has also synergy with Smart Water Lab at Aalborg University, which focus on water distribution networks.
